Miriama is a full-time artist based on the Kāpiti Coast, working across a range of creative disciplines including mural painting, illustration, and the design of accessories, products, and clothing. Deeply inspired by her whakapapa and the world around her, her work blends toi Māori with a contemporary style. She studied Visual Arts at Whitireia before completing a Bachelor of Fine Arts at Massey University. After graduating, Miriama dedicated herself to building a career as a full-time artist. Since then she has designed clothing, painted murals and public artworks, illustrated books, collaborated with Moana Road designing products, and become a member of wāhine mural collective Dreamgirls Art Collective alongside fellow artists and friends Xoe Hall and Gina Kiel.
